Anyone have opinions on HQI units. Sunlight vs. PFO
Also, if you have used eballsts prior to using HQI also would like your comments. I need to replace one of my 250 eballast the died, and champion is on back order. Considering trying HQI but wanted some comments from fellow members.
Thanks in advance

When I was deciding on my lights, I wanted to use the PFO Parallel reflectors. Mogul was easier to deal with. In particular the notion that the standard Mogul bulb has shielding glass on it and you do not need a full pendant w/shield.
Ballasts and bulbs were less expensive. I do not recall Sanjay's data saying that HQI had an edge in PAR, so I went for what I perceived as an easier, lower cost solution.
my 2 cents.

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

From Sanjays talk, go with the sunlights, or at least their reflectors if you want the most light bouncing down. I actuall find they take up less room inside the canopy, and I haven't gotten a fore-arm burn yet, where as I have gotten cooked a couple times from the single ended bulb.
