whenever i turn off the lights, then turn them on in the morning. My yellow tang is pale. But during the time the light is on. It's a beautiful yellow color. Is it supposed to be like that?

That is normal. The pale color is the nighttime mode when it sleeps.

Just to be safe and make sure we are all on the same page. The yellow tang is a pale yellow, almost off white and there is a light brown stripe down the center? If that's what yo're seeing, that's normal. If you're seeing something else, I have no idea.

My orange lyertail Anthias are a biright orange when lights are on. They turn a pale orange/pink with pale brownish spots at night. They look very sick, but they're not. They're just in sleep mode when the lights go out. Once the lights go back on they get their color back.

Every yellow tang I have ha was like that. Some fish turn dark instead of pale during lights out - I think it has to do with their habitat.

It is normal. My foxface goes from white, blue and orange in the day to a perfect black, white and gray camouflage pattern at night.
I see shady people...
